Discovery Trail is a 700 foot long paved interpretive trail.

Discovery Trail is a 700-foot-long paved interpretive trail designed to accommodate handicapped individuals/groups and educational groups from elementary school systems, primarily grades four through six. Four interpretive stops along the trail explain nature's processes by recycling visitor-operated tape-recorded messages and exhibit activities. Each stop has a different theme:
- Stop 1 - Land from Water, concerning fossils
- Stop 2 - Pioneer Plants, about how plants grow
- Stop 3 - Why is it Different, about the types of plants
- Stop 4 - Useful Plants, about how we use plants.
