The Jackass Ridge Complex is a very popular snowmobile trail system close to a metro population of 550,000. This winter trail complex offers several loops and trailhead sites.
This trail is one of 400-plus miles of winter-groomed trails on two Ranger Districts. The increased use and close proximity to a large population base have created a greater interest in the trail due to its easy access close to a major highway system. A direct result has been increased parking, which at times produces a very crowded situation.
