Located in the City of West Point, this urban rail-trail and bikeway form nearly a 4-mile loop, providing residents with easy, safe access from local neighborhoods to businesses, schools, churches, and other amenities.

The City of West Point, Mississippi, is a small rural town with a population of 12,145. the Kitty Dill Memorial Parkway was begun in 1991, and we were honored to be included as one of the first 500 rail-trails in the country. Through the creative use of federal, state, and local funds and private donations, the trail has grown to become a 3.75-mile urban trail and parkway. Construction of the trail has been accomplished in phases as additional funds and railroad right-of-way have become available.
It provides a wonderful greenspace and trail for walking, strolling, biking, skating, or jogging. It also provides pedestrians easy access from neighborhoods throughout the city to downtown businesses, grocery stores, churches, the public library, the post office, and the Mann-East-Friday Museum. The parkway is also the site of many outdoor events, including the annual Prairie Arts Festival and the Walk-for-Life benefitting the American Cancer Society.
