Location: Rural/Backcountry

The trail traverses state parks, forests, game lands, private lands, with mountain laurels and rhododendrons blooming in summer. There are eight overnight shelter areas with each having five Adirondack Shelters and several tenting areas. Staying overnight requires a reservation. You can make reservations online @ www.visitpaparks.com or call 814-445-7725. Reservations can be made 11 months in advance.
