Turkey Creek Nature Trail is a 0.5-mile, paved loop trail located near the Cordell Hull Lake visitor center. The trail can be accessed from the visitor center or the parking lot just past the visitor center on the left side of the road. Across the street are a picnic and playground area and restroom facilities. Nearby is the Cordell Hull Dam site with fishing opportunities. It's also just a short drive north on Turkey Creek Highway/263 to access the Cordell Hull Lake overlook recreation area, which features an elevated viewing platform that is accessible and offers scenic views of the lake and Cumberland River valley. The overlook area also encompasses one of the trailheads for the Bearwaller Gap National Recreation Trail. Overall, the Cordell Hull Dam site would make an enjoyable day trip for anyone visiting the area. Please remember to leave no trace and pack out your trash while on the trail.
